Who is O.J. Simpson? O.J. Simpson was an American football player, actor, producer, and sports commentator. He was born on July 9, 1947, in San Francisco, California, to Eunice Durden and Jimmy Lee Simpson.

His father, Jimmy Lee Simpson, worked as a bank officer. Eunice Durden, his mother, worked as a hospital administrator.

Following their separation in 1952, O.J. Simpson and his sister were primarily raised by their mother. Sadly, Jimmy Simpson died in 1986 because of AIDS. 

O.J. Simpson excelled in college football, becoming a two-time unanimous All-American and winning the Heisman Trophy in 1968.

He broke the single-season rushing record in the NFL with over 2,000 yards in 1973 and earned Pro Bowl selections and NFL MVP honors.
