News of Mamata Banerjee: Mamata Banerjee, 69, the Chief Minister of Bengal, injured her forehead after falling at her home in Kalighat, Kolkata. Her nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, quickly took her to the SSKM hospital. Initially, there were reports suggesting she had been pushed from behind.
Doctors assessed her and stabilized her condition, applying three stitches to her forehead and one to her nose.
Although she was advised to stay in the hospital for observation, she chose to go home and will continue to receive treatment as per the doctors’ advice.
Her health will be reassessed tomorrow to decide on further treatment.
